KARACHI:

NBP drew against debutants Lyallpur FC 1-1 to keep their hopes for survival alive in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) on Saturday.

NBP finished sixth last season, but are struggling to book a place among the top 10 teams this time.

In their second last match yesterday, Farooq Shah scored the opening goal in the 18th minute of the match as NBP led 1-0. However, Lyallpur FC’s Abdul Razzaq equalised seven minutes later.

Lyallpur FC concluded their season with the match. They are facing relegation on 14th position with 23 points.

Meanwhile, NBP continued on 12th place with 34 points. If NBP manage to win their last match against Army , they will climb to ninth position.

They still have a chance to escape relegation, as only the top 10 PPFL teams will play the next edition.
