Style Icon: Peter Pilotto — from celebrity fave to fashion darling
The Pilotto philosophy is to make clothes that are beyond classification by age or demographic.
We’re only a month into 2014, but the year is already shaping up to be an amazing one for Peter Pilotto. The British Fashion Council (BFC) announced that Pilotto has won this year’s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. Pilotto and his co-designer Christopher De Vos, will take home £200,000 to help grow their business and they’ll get a year of mentoring from an established player in the industry.
The Pilotto philosophy is to make clothes that are beyond classification by age or demographic. They aim to appeal to different women with the imagination and strength to look great at every age. The wild digital prints with body-twisting shapes are an attention-grabbing collection by a designer whose star is clearly on the rise.
Peter Pilotto has officially become a red carpet fave. Miranda Kerr, Selena Gomez, Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart amongst others are the stylish celebrities rocking Peter Pilotto’s high-impact designs. It’s no wonder why he was picked as the winner for this year’s Fashion Fund.
