The government approved nine development schemes at an estimated cost of Rs6.2 billion on Wednesday.
The fruit and vegetable market at Badami Bagh will be shifted and Composite Fruit and Vegetable and Grains Market established at a cost of Rs447 million.
Other schemes include the establishment of the Citizens Facilitation and Service Centre at a cost of Rs1.40 billion, Information Technology Centric Interventions and Smart Monitoring under the Punjab Public Management Reforms Program (PPMRP) at a cost of Rs1.9 billion, the rehabilitation and augmentation of the sewerage system in Khanpur City Zone-A Phase-II at the cost of Rs497 million, the replacement of capacity tubewells in various locations at the cost of Rs220 million.
The preservation, renovation and landscaping of Minar-i-Pakistan and Circular Garden will be carried out at the cost of Rs403 million.
