ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday restored the membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mian Ziaur Rehman in the Khyber-Pakhunkhwa Assembly. A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani admitted all petitions filed by Ziaur Rahman in which he challenged the Election Tribunal’s decision to suspend his membership in a fake degree case. The decision was declared null and void. Rahman was elected MPA from PK-54, Mansehra, but his membership was suspended by the Tribunal after his degree was challenged by an opposing candidate.
