Public hygiene: ‘Long hospital stay increases chances of infection’
A training workshop was held in connection with controlling infection in hospitals.

“Early recovery of patients can be ensured by controlling infections at hospitals,” Health Services Director General Zahid Pervaiz said on Saturday.
He said patients’ stay in hospitals should be reduced to minimise chances of infections.
He was addressing the concluding session of a training workshop held in connection with controlling infection in hospitals. Sixty doctors and nurses from hospitals in Gujranwala, Gujrat and Vehari attended the workshop.
Pervaiz said proper disposal of syringes should be ensured. Salman said doctors and nurses could control infection by strictly following hygienic principles.
