Baloch ahead in professional golf event
Inayat ends at one under-par to take title in senior professional category.
KARACHI:
Waheed Baloch continued to dominate the Bank Al Habib National Professional Golf Tournament, finishing the second day on first place among 103 golfers on Saturday.
Baloch remained at eight under-par, while Shafiq Masih climbed to second place by hitting a round of four under-par. He tied with Amjad Yousuf.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Munir and Afsar Ali also stayed head-to-head on third position with the total of six under-par.
Abrar Ahmad also impressed his opponents when he hit a 147 yards hole-in-one at yellow course 11th, but he finished the day tied on fourth position with Muhammad Safdar, Shabbir Iqbal and Latif Rafiq. They ended the day at five under-par.
In the senior professional category, Saleem Inayat took the title by hitting at one under-par. Abdul Hameed and Ghani Khan tied on second place by ending at one over-par out of the 26 participants.
The tournament will conclude at the Karachi Golf Club on Sunday.
