In solidarity: Lawyers on strike

Lawyers on Friday observed a strike in protest against Mastung killings.
The Lahore Bar Association (LBA) and the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) observed the strike on the call of the Punjab Bar Council. Lawyers did not appear before courts in most cases and the cases were adjourned.
Talking to The Express Tribune, LBA President Chaudhary Muhammad Ishtiaq condemned the killings. He said the government should ensure safety of all citizens.
He said the government should stop being a silent spectator.
He said the government should arrest those responsible.
Some lawyers did appear before judges at their chambers for urgent matters.
