Kohat rocket attack

A house was partially damaged when unidentified militants fired a rocket at the structure in Dheri Bhanda, on the outskirts of Kohat city on Thursday.

Bilitang police official Asad Zubair said the incident occurred at around 12:30am. Zubair revealed that Abdul Qadir, a resident of Orakzai Agency who is currently living in a rented house in Dheri Bhanda, reported to the police that he was asleep along with his family members when suddenly an explosion occurred inside his house.

Qadir added the explosion woke him up after which he rushed to the lawn inside his house and realised that his residence had been attacked with a rocket.

Zubair said police visited the site and reported that the rocket landed in one of the rooms of the house, but no loss of life was reported. He added police recovered shrapnel of RPG-7 from the debris of the collapsed wall and filed a case against unidentified culprits.
