Grave circumstances: Students in Mardan attend classes in a graveyard

Teachers? Check. Students who are eager to learn? Check. Four walls and a roof? Not so much.
Unable to find proper classroom space, some teachers in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa give lessons in what would be considered grave surroundings.
These teachers hold their classes in a graveyard where, according to Express News, they teach nearly 125 boys and girls.
The teachers have propped up a blackboard near the graveyard wall and the children sit and learn their ABCs against the backdrop of a row of tombstones.
With no chairs or desks available, the students huddle together on the ground as they study in the open air, even in the cold.
"Make a school for us that has at least four rooms so that we can get an education," a young boy from the school plead to the government.
Speaking on behalf of the makeshift school, one of the teachers said "We have asked the government many times [about building a school] but no one has listened to us."
