Results announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Tuesday in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Sargodha showed that less than half the candidates who appeared in the autumn examinations passed.
38.85 per cent of candidates in Lahore passed. According to Lahore BISE officials students’ result cards have been sent via post.
The candidates can access their detailed mark sheet through the official Lahore BISE website. They can also text message their roll number to 80029 to access results.
Controller Examinations BISE Faisalabad Malik Zafar Iqbal said that 21,696 candidates appeared in the examinations and 6,200 passed. The percentage of students who passed was 28.58.
Only 34.61 per cent of candidates passed in Multan, the BISE announced. A total of 13,677 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 4,733 passed. As many as 10 unfair means cases were registered.
BISE Sargodha announced that the percentage of students who passed was 31.60.
