Gathering support: Qureshi asks people to vote for PTI candidate
Qureshi urged people to vote for PTI candidate if they wanted to see Pakistan like Mohammad Ali Jinnah had envisioned.
HARIPUR:
Former foreign minister and central leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said the only leader who could steer of prevailing morass was Imran Khan as the federal government had failed to live up to the expectations of people.
While speaking at the election rally for his party’s candidate, Akbar Ayub Khan, in Sarai Saleh, Qureshi said that terrorism and the price hike were at their peak and making the citizens lives miserable. He added that the federal government had failed to control both and was in a quandary because of lack of commitment.
“Imran Khan is the only leader eligible to put the system back in order,” he said. “Khan has the courage to protect the honour of the mothers and sisters of this nation.” He added that the system improved when the PTI government was formed in the province.
Qureshi urged the participants to vote for the PTI candidate if they wanted to see Pakistan like Mohammad Ali Jinnah had envisioned.
While talking about Haripur, he said the performance of the central government was visible from the under-development in Haripur. He promised that if voted into power, Akbar Ayub Khan would improve the situation.
Former provincial minister Yusuf Ayub also spoke to the rally.
