PABBI:
Hundreds of activists of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) demonstrated against the government’s alleged support of Kalabagh Dam on Friday and blocked the Nowshera-Peshawar Road for more than two hours. The protesters, led by QWP provincial president Sikandar Sherpao, marched from Nowshera Bridge to Shobra Chowk and chanted slogans against the government for favouring the dam‘s construction. Sherpao said Imran Khan’s approval for the dam was a betrayal to his public mandate and to Pukhtuns. Later, protesters scattered peacefully and the road was reopened.
