Rangers kill one, arrest another for attacking van in Karachi

One criminal dead from retaliatory firing and another arrested.

KARACHI: One person was killed when Rangers retaliated to an attack on their vehicles on Burns Road in Karachi on Wednesday eveningExpress News reported.

According to details, two Rangers' mobiles were fired upon near Burns Road. Rangers officials returned fire in which they one suspected attacker was killed and another wounded.

Express News correspondent Nadeem Ahmad reported that the incident occurred in Aurangzeb Market, near Tyre Market.

Following the attack, Rangers personnel chased the attackers through various streets and eventually managed to apprehend one of them after an exchange of fire.

The criminals were identified as Amir and Hasan, but authorities are yet to ascertain their motive.

Two policemen killed

Two police officials were killed when unidentified persons opened fire at a police check post near Al-Asif Square in Sohrab Goth, Karachi.

Meanwhile‚ the police arrested six criminals‚ including a notorious target killer‚ Asif Jamil alias Papu in raids in different areas of the country.

sterry | 10 years ago | Reply Great work by the Rangers to defend themselves against these anti state cowards! They don't know how to fight back but are brave only when they attack unarmed civilians or unsuspecting policemen.
