Crackdown: Eight held on separate charges

The Shahzad Town police on Monday launched crackdowns in Zia Masjid area, Sohan, Shakrial and Iqbal Town area of Islamabad, and arrested eight suspects in possession of drugs and ammunition.


During the operation, the police seized 1.5kg of hashish from Zabihullah, 290 grams from Khalid Mehmood, 250 grams from Naiyat Bibi, 230 grams from Sartaj Badshah, 115 grams of heroin from Fazal Mehmood, 150 grams from Firdous Bibi, 10 bottles of liquor from Liaquat and a 30-bore pistol with three bullets from Ajmer Khan.


Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons under the relevant laws and investigations are under way, said an official.
