Rural cleanup: 63 offenders rounded up

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Sunday morning conducted a search operation in the city’s rural areas and arrested 57 suspects and six Afghans for residing illegally. The search operation was conducted in the Soan, Zia Masjid and New Shakrial areas. Policemen from the Koral, Shahzad Town, Loi Bher, Sihala, Nilore and Bhara Kahu police stations participated in the operation. The policemen also recovered a stolen van, seven motorcycles, two pistols, 1.5 kilograms of hashish, 50 grams of heroin, 50 bottles of liquor and spare parts of three motorcycles from the suspects.
