Inflation: SPI down 0.08% during week
The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 200.09.
ISLAMABAD:
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended January 9 has registered a decrease of 0.08% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 200.09 points against 200.26 recorded in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decrease by 0.10% during the week under review, standing at 209.43 points against 209.63 in the previous week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for the combined group inflated 9.20%. During the week under review, average prices of 11 items registered a decrease while those of 13 items recorded an increase. Prices of the remaining 29 items remained unchanged.
