Vilification: IHC lashes out at Geo Group, says never dodged audit
The registrar says the vilification campaign against IHC is based on mala fide intentions.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) registrar on Thursday said that Geo Group under mala fide intentions has resorted to negative propaganda against IHC by publishing and airing baseless and false content that IHC was trying to avoid external audit.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) registrar on Thursday said that Geo Group under mala fide intentions has resorted to negative propaganda against IHC by publishing and airing baseless and false content that IHC was trying to avoid external audit.
“IHC administration never refused an audit,” a statement issued on Thursday night signed by the registrar IHC said. The IHC has always been ready for external audit and Director General Audit was asked by the court to initiate its audit process at any time, it said.
In response the directorate general audit replied that the audit of IHC would be conducted after finalisation of Annual Audit Report 2013-14. Therefore it is emphatically denied that the Islamabad High Court was reluctant to go for external audit, the statement said. The registrar said the vilification campaign against IHC is based on mala fide intentions and IHC reserves its right to initiate legal action as deemed appropriate.
