Family matter: Father faints on losing child custody

Shazia said she had married Ramazan seven years ago and had a daughter.

LAHORE:
A man fainted upon hearing a Lahore High Court’s ruling handing over his daughter to his former wife. Shazia said she had married Ramazan seven years ago and had a daughter. She said after their divorce Ramazan had kept their daughter with him. On Shazia’s habeus corpus petition, the court had deputed a bailiff who produced the girl in the court. Justice Shahid Bilal handed the girl over to her mother. Ramazan started crying on hearing the court’s order, and as court staffers led him out he fainted. A Rescue 1122 ambulance took him to a hospital.
