Our soldiers are national heroes: Gen Raheel
COAS praises soldiers’ sacrifices in the war on terror.
ISLAMABAD:
Army chief General Raheel Sharif paid rich tributes to the sacrifices rendered by troops in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
During a visit to the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) in Rawalpindi, Gen Raheel said the army fully acknowledged the sacrifices of soldiers and would do everything to bring comfort to them.
“There cannot be a bigger sacrifice for the motherland than one’s life or precious limbs,” the army chief was quoted as saying.
The army chief paid rich tributes to the sacrifices, valour and determination of the soldiers who were injured in the ongoing war on terror. “Our injured soldiers are our national heroes and the nation is proud of them,” he remarked.
During his visit to AFIRM, the army chief was given a detailed briefing on the rehabilitation work undertaken by the institute.
