Musharraf’s Treatment : IHC dismisses plea for travel ban
The petition was filed on Friday by the foundation through its executive members.
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition filed by the Shuhada Foundation of Pakistan Trust seeking to bar former president Pervez Musharraf from travelling abroad. Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui told Tariq Asad, the counsel for the Lal Masjid Trust, that the IHC cannot interfere in the affairs of trial courts and that granting bail was the prerogative of the special court. The petition was filed on Friday by the foundation through its executive members. The interior secretary, Islamabad police chief and deputy inspector general security were named as respondents.
