Private-public: PEF test to select schools begins
The PEF would provide monthly fees and text books to the schools.

The pre-quality assurance test for low cost private schools intending to partner with the Punjab Education Foundation will start on Monday.
The PEF spokesperson said the purpose of the test is to select suitable schools for partnership with the PEF under the Foundation Assisted School programme. The public-private partnership aims to provide free education up to the high school level for more than 1.2 million students in need of financial assistance. The PEF would provide monthly fees and text books. According to a PEF spokesman, 1458 private schools from 36 districts would benefit from the programme.
