January dawned with a promise of a new year ahead, as the first poster of Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd’s next film, Happy New Year was launched on January 2. Directed by Farah Khan, the film boasts some big names with Shahrukh Khan spearheading the plot.
The film’s ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
The posters were first sent to fans and fan clubs all around social media sites, which were personalised and addressed specifically to the fan, signed by a cast member of their choice in their own handwriting. The producers of the film collaborated with American company Digigraph to achieve this difficult task, as the number of fans amounts to millions.
According to DNAIndia, SRK who took to Twitter to share his joy over the launch of the poster, said, “I hope you like the poster for the film Happy New Year. All that begins this year or ends this year, may it be the best for each one of you.”
With such a huge marketing campaign the film has created some high expectations, which will be tough for the makers to reach. What do you think?
