Agricultural research council : Scientists for stronger cooperation
PARC scientists are fulfilling their role in the development and promotion of the agriculture sector in the country.
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) scientists are fulfilling their role in the development and promotion of the agriculture sector in the country, said chairman Dr Iftikar Ahmad, while addressing a gathering on Friday. He said that senior scientists with the transfer of new knowledge and innovative ideas support their junior colleagues in order to boost the agriculture production for food security in the country. Ahmad said he was in favour of PARC scientists joining international agriculture development and donor agencies to represent Pakistan at international forums. This will help create opportunities for other Pakistani scientists at these institutions for the benefit of Pakistan’s agriculture and its small farmer’s development, added Ahmad. He also directed the scientists association to coordinate with retired scientists in order to benefit from their knowledge and experiences.
