Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani on Thursday took suo motu notice of solid waste being dumped by the CDA in the foothills of Margalla.
The CDA chairman has been asked to consult the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency to take steps to reverse the damage caused to the protected area and formulate a long-term composite solid waste management plan with an emphasis on recycling.
The CDA chairman has been directed to submit a detailed report within two weeks after devising a comprehensive solid waste management plan.
