Custody battle: SHO directed to produce children

An additional district and sessions judge on Monday directed the Shalimar station house officer to produce two children before the court by January 1.
She asked the court to direct the Shalimar station house officer to recover her daughters.

Petitioner Shama Bibi told the court that she had married Zahid Umar and they had two daughters. She said relations had subsequently soured and she had returned to living with her parents’ house .
She said on December 24, Zahid had picked one of their daughters from in front of her house. She said their other daughter was taken away from a tuition centre.
She said her family had approached Zahid several times asking him to return the girls to their mother, but he did not listen.
She said she had approached the police, but they had ignored her request.
She asked the court to direct the Shalimar station house officer to recover her daughters.
