Remote-controlled: Three policemen injured in explosion

Bomb was targeting a police mobile which was supplying various necessary items to a police post.

BANNU:
Three policemen were injured when a remote-controlled bomb targeting a police mobile van went off in Hawaid area of Bannu on Monday. Bannu Police Headquarters DSP Sanaullah Marwat said the van was supplying various necessary items to a police post in Shiekh Landak when a bomb fitted below a bridge exploded. He said Qudratullah, Sajjad and Saifullah were injured while the vehicle was also damaged. The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital where their condition was said to be stable. A large number of policemen cordoned off the area after the blast and launched a search operation, however, no arrest was made till filing of this report. Meanwhile, a rocket attack partially damaged a wall in Wapda Colony. A police official said the rocket was fired from an unknown location at around 1am, but fortunately no human loss was reported.
