Better allocations: Baitul Mal enhances medical assistance
PBM MD Sheikh says funds allocated for individuals’ financial assistance were slashed, diverted to medical treatment.
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Baitul Mal has enhanced medical assistance and simplified the procedure for ensuring prompt treatment of patients suffering from fatal diseases, according to PBM MD Abid Waheed Sheikh. He said the funds allocated for individuals’ financial assistance had been slashed and diverted to medical treatment. Currently, the treatment of 60 to 70 patients is being approved daily against 10 cases in the past, he said, adding that PBM had decided to establish its counters at govt hospitals to ensure better service.
