LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday granted interim bail to a woman till January 1. She is accused of stealing jewellery and prize bonds worth Rs333,000 to “help her husband buy a car”. Badar Khurram, wife of Muhammad Khurram, stated that the complainant had implicated her in the theft case to blackmail and malign her. Zain Mahmood had filed the complaint at the Race Course Women police station stating that Badar Khurram, his cousin, had visited his house on September 15 to attend a ceremony and stolen jewellery and prize bonds worth Rs333,000 from a cupboard.
