Conservation: LED streetlights to save power

Commissioner Langrial says conversion to LED will not only help save electricity but also reduce expenditure.

LAHORE: Commissioner Rashid Mahmood Langrial on Saturday said that the conversion of streetlights to LED will not only help save electricity but also reduce expenditure. He was chairing a meeting on the conversion of streetlights to LED. DCO Ahmad Javed Qazi and all the administrators and TMOs attended the meeting. He said in the first phase, all big streetlights will be converted to LED as smaller streetlights did not consume a lot of power to begin with. The commissioner directed administrators and town municipal officers to prepare a balance sheet on conversion expenditures and the monthly reduction in electricity expenditures in a week and present it at the next meeting.
