KARACHI: A minor girl was injured in an explosion in Karachi, Express News reported on Friday.

The blast took place inside a bungalow on Khalid bin Waleed Road.

The child – who is badly injured – was taken to Jinnah hospital.

Police and rescue officials are on their way to the blast site.

The exact nature of the blast is not known as yet.

Earlier on December 18, a housemaid was killed and her daughter-in-law suffered injuries in the nearby area after a hand grenade wrapped in a plastic bag exploded. The women had picked up the bag from the road, thinking it was a toy.
