For Christians: ‘Minority’ a misnomer, says lawmaker

On Christmas, Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) organized a music gala inviting local singers here on Thursday, said a press release. Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz member of parliament Tahira Aurangzeb, the chief guest, said that the word “minority” should not be used for the Christians in the country as they are equal citizens. “We are Pakistanis first, religion and ethnicity comes later,” she said. The singers Sahil, Manan, Sheraz Rana, Sajjad Rai and Sunny and Joggi Band and Lucky group performed at the gala that was attended by a large number of people.
