Tie-dye techniques: Women receive skills training
More than 145 women from the Lower and Upper Dir districts receive three days of extensive training.
PESHAWAR:
More than 145 women from the Lower and Upper Dir districts have received three days of extensive training in modern tie and dye techniques. They were also given specialised tool kits by the district administration after the completion of training. The training will provide the workers with the skills that they need to start a small business in their areas and this will specifically empower rural women to move from unemployment to self-sufficiency. Around 100 women from four sub-divisions of Lower Dir including Talash, Timergara, Chakdara and Samar Bagh were given training in modern dyeing methods and were taught the process of tying and dyeing fabric, cloth or scarf, made from cotton, linen, wool, silk and polyester. A similar training was given to 45 women from Upper Dir as well.
