Street crime: Protest against trader’s killing goes on
Relatives of local trader who was killed in robbery on Wednesday continue to protest against police for second day.

Relatives of a local trader who was killed in a robbery on Wednesday continued to protest against the police for the second day on Thursday. Nearly two dozen protestors gathered at Zila Council Chowk and sat in front of the secretariat of city government. They were chanting slogans against the Raza Abad police for failing to improve the security situation. They also demanded immediate arrest of the robbers. The protestors demanded suspension of Raza Abad station house officer (SHO). The protestors also blocked University Road for traffic. A police team from the office of City Police Officer (CPO) Haidar Ashraf visited the scene and assured the protesters that the culprits would be arrested and persuaded. On this assurance, the protestors dispersed peacefully.
