Pollution: Two factories sealed
The Environment Protection Department seals two factories for polluting the environment.

The Environment Protection Department on Thursday sealed two factories for polluting the environment. District Officer Mian Muhammad Nawaz told newsmen that the environment department had received a number of complaints from residents of Satiana Road that some factories that were emitting poisonous smoke and discharging dangerous chemicals. “EPD teams raided the factories and found a cotton factory emitting poisonous smoke and cottons particles.” He said the factory had been sealed immediately. He said another EPD team had raided a factory Khurarianwala and found a factory emitting poisonous gas. He said the EPD team had sealed three boilers of the factory and directed the factory owner to make proper arrangements.
