Intelligence aided: Police arrest two suspected militants in Nowshera
Claim accused confessed to target killings, bombing several schools.

Two suspected militants were arrested by the Pabbi police at a check post on Wednesday. Pabbi Circle DSP Waqar Khan, while talking to The Express Tribune, said a checkpoint was set up after intelligence reports of militant movement near Fazil Korona area of Pabbi, where two pedestrians stopped near the post and opened fire on the police.
After exchanging fire, the militants were overpowered and arrested. Khan identified the suspects as Saleem and Muhammad Tariq, from Sheen Dang area of Khyber Agency. The police recovered three grenades, two pistols and several rounds of bullets.
The police official said the individuals were already wanted by the police in several cases and confessed to their involvement in bombing several bridges, government schools and other installations.
The DSP said the militants further confessed to have killed two people at Jalozai refugee camp.
“The militants also said they had been involved in attacking the Chamkani police,” said Khan, adding further investigation is under way.
