Arshad pappu case: SHC reserves verdict on Shahjahan Baloch’s bail plea

ATC-III had dismissed bail application of MNA Baloch after hearing arguments from both sides.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) reserved on Monday its verdict on the bail application of a Pakistan Peoples Party lawmaker from Lyari, Shahjahan Baloch, who is facing trial in the Arshad Pappu murder case.


Shahjehan Baloch, a member of the National Assembly and an arrested accused in the abduction and murder case of alleged gangster, Arshad Pappu, had filed a constitutional petition through his counsel assailing the rejection of his bail application by an anti-terrorism court.


Pappu, his brother, Yasir Arafat and their associate, Juma Shera, were killed on the night of March 16. The MNA, along with Zubair Baloch, Zakir Dada and Abdul Rehman and another suspect, Yousuf Baloch, have been charge-sheeted in the case.


The ATC-III had dismissed the bail application of MNA Baloch after hearing arguments from the prosecution and defence attorneys.
