President’s Trophy: Wapda pummel HBL in easy win
PTV, UBL also secure victories on penultimate day.

Wapda produced an all-round show and registered an emphatic ten-wicket win over HBL on the penultimate day of the President’s Trophy seventh round match in Islamabad on Monday.
Wapda displayed a superb bowling show as they bowled out the bankers for just 131 runs in their second innings.
Wapda openers – Ali Rafiq (21) and Mohammad Ayub (37) faced no resistance as they achieved the target in just 10.2 overs.
PTV, UBL claim wins
PTV and UBL were the other sides to seal victories on the third day.
Reeling at 54 for seven, State Bank made just 112 in their final innings, setting a target of 133 for PTV, which they achieved after losing five wickets.
UBL, on the other hand bagged a six-wicket win over KRL after achieving the target of 157.
Meanwhile, Imran Nazir smashed a fiery 144 to keep ZTBL going against PIA. The opener was still on the crease as ZTBL needed 61 more runs to avoid an innings defeat. Earlier, PIA amassed 502 in their first innings.
In another match, NBP were fighting to avoid innings defeat against SNGPL needing 58 more runs with six wickets in hand.
The bankers were forced to follow-on after being bowled out for 204 in reply to SNGPL’s first innings total of 204. They were on 132 for four at close of day’s play with Fawad Alam (48) and Kamran Akmal (20) on the track.
