KARACHI:
The weakest teams in the Pakistan Premier Football league (PPFL) made a strong return to the competition after an 11-day break. Lyallpur FC and Baloch FC Noushki drew their match 2-2 at the Faisal Town Ground in Lahore on Monday.
Both teams played a goalless first-half, while Baloch FC took the lead in the 56th minute with Fazal Ahmed’s goal and the player doubled the lead for his side in the 84th.
However, in a dramatic turn, Lyallpur FC’s Naeemullah scored their first goal in the first minute of injury-time, while Rehan Munir scored the equaliser two minutes later through a penalty-kick.
Despite the effort, Lyallpur FC remain at the bottom of the table with only 10 points. They have won only two matches out of the 19 played.
Meanwhile, Baloch FC continue in 15th position with 15 points from 20 matches.
