PTI's Lahore rally is illegal: Rana Sanaullah
Punjab Law Minister says police report has been filed against PTI for rallying on Mall Road.
LAHORE:
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah termed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) rally against inflation in Lahore illegal. He said a police report against the PTI has been filed on Sunday, Express News reported.
Rana Sanaullah said that demonstrations on Mall Road were against earlier court orders.
The Punjab government did however provide security for the Mall Road rally today.
Imran Khan had led the PTI's protest rally against price hikes, calling for a "jihad' against inflation".
Khan vowed further street protests against inflation. He cited a number of solutions the PTI would have undertaken if it was in power.
Aside from PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen, Khan was accompanied by Sheikh Rasheed and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawwar Hasan as well.
