Terrible luck: Cylinder explosion kills balloon seller
Deceased, identified as Muhammad Ali son of Muhammad Shafi, lived in slum area of Azizabad and used to sell balloons.

A 24-year-old man was killed and a passer-by was wounded when a cylinder for pumping gas into balloons exploded near Mukka Chowk in Azizabad on Saturday evening.
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Ali son of Muhammad Shafi, lived in the slum area in Azizabad and used to sell balloons.
“The explosion occurred when the deceased was mixing some chemicals in the cylinder to generate gas for the balloons,” said DSP Saleem Akhtar. “He had gotten an order to supply balloons for an event at a nearby shop.” Deceased sustained severe burns on his hands, face, chest and stomach and died at the spot.
His body and the injured passer-by, Abbas Ali, were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The police said the cylinder was of poor quality and unsafe.
