Notice: ‘Judges should be appointed by govt’
Lawyer Tariq Aziz Malik asks Lahore High Court registrar to refrain from conducting exams and recruiting civil judges.

Lawyer Tariq Aziz Malik has sent a legal notice to the Lahore High Court registrar asking to refrain from conducting exams and recruiting civil judges as the authority lay with the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). He stated that under Section 6 of the Judicial Services Rules, the PPSC was authorised to conduct the exam for civil judges. He said the LHC was conducting exams and appointing civil judges in violation of rules. He asked the registrar not to give the exams.
