Illegal: LDA demolishes 15 buildings for violating by-laws

Staff demolishes 6 structures on Jan Muhammad Road that had been constructed without approval of plans by LDA.

The staff of Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing on Friday demolished 15 buildings built in contravention of building by-laws as part of the LDA’s operation against illegal constructions in approved private housing schemes and areas controlled by the LDA.


The staff demolished six structures on Jan Muhammad Road near Architects Society that had been constructed without approval of plans by the LDA. Three commercial buildings in the area were sealed for being in a residential area. The LDA staff knocked down an under-construction commercial plaza in the Military Accounts Housing Society on College Road.

It was being built on a residential plot without approval of a or building plan. The staff demolished eight shops on Katcha Jail Road in Kot Lakhpat, which had been constructed in departure from approved building plans.
