Karachi operation: 22 criminals caught in raids

Four sub machineguns, M-16 Rifle, 21 Rockets of Uni Barrel Rocket were also recovered.

At least two dozen suspects were arrested during ongoing targeted raids by law enforcers on Friday.



An alleged extortionist, involved in attacking and injuring a police inspector, was also arrested during raids. Ali Jan Khosa was arrested after an exchange of fire near Jauhar Complex in Sacchal area. SHO Naeem Khan said the extortionist had attacked and injured former SHO Goga Saqib three months ago during a strike by a nationalist party. The police was on a lookout for his brother, Ali Sher, who had accompanied him during the attack. SHO Khan said some weapons were also seized from his possession while a case has been registered against him.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the arrests were made during raids and snap checking in Sharafi Goth, Old Sabzi Mandi, Muslimabad Colony in Landhi, Zakria Goth in Gadap, New Karachi, Haroonabad area in SITE, Faqir Colony, Frontier Colony, Lyari, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Liaquatabad, Malir City, Garden and North Nazimabad. Rangers have also claimed arresting a notorious gangster during a targeted raid in Lyari. Four sub machineguns, M-16 Rifle, 21 Rockets of Uni Barrel Rocket were also recovered.
