A week-long training workshop for senior doctors organised by Aga Khan Health Service (AKHS) concluded in Gilgit on Monday.
The Maternal Care and Child Survival (MCCS) of Aga Khan Health Service had organised the workshop in two sessions, each of four days. At least 47 participants attended. Dr Shahzad Ali Khan, a senior trainer from Islamabad, facilitated the session. Secretary Health and Population Welfare Khurram Khan was the chief guest.

District health managers and other staff including lady health workers (LHWs) from Ghizer, Gilgit, Hunza-Nagar, Skardu, Ghanche and Astore districts attended, shared AKHS official Karim Tahir on Tuesday. The objective was to train staff in health planning, budgeting and management at respective departments and centres in the valleys, he added.
