@meranamjoker: top search in india is sunny leone
Looks like Pakistanis have been checking out my wife, Hurrem Sultan.
@Mirza: In effect what you are saying is like scratching a place which does not itch anymore!
@Mirza: Indian and Pakistan have love and hate relationship!!!
And the most amazing thing about 2013 search trends is that Malala Yousafzai Ranked on #3 in Globally searched Personality while Nelson Mandela on #1 and Paul Walker on #2
@Pakistani: "Pls look at top searches in india, ET is on the top 10 list"
I didn't know that Economic Times(ET) is so sought after in India. It is good that people are interested in economy rather than on porn.
@Someone yes you are true....and at the same time I don't know what the people in Pakistan lack for searching Indian content....
@Confused U r really confused....
I recently went crazy about searching for dila teer bija..... an outstanding Pakistani song
ET...u r pro-indian...accept it and publish my cooment
No need to be apologetic for this action. It is natural for humans to go back to his roots whenever he gets the chance to do so.
It is unfair to criticize Pakistanis for their searches on Indian content.
Many sites have been banned in Pakistan and they are just trying to get some titillating experience form Indian sites.
BTW, I was so surprised to see a TV ad in Pakistani channels recently. This ad was promoting a hair trimmer for men to remove their body hair and mentioned that hairy body was considered manliness in the past but now-a-days woman prefer men without hair on their bodies (like Salman Khan or like what Deepika Padukone comments on Ranveer Singh in Ram Leela). I wonder how the Mullas in black coats or white thobes are going to react on this ad.
@Confused I am not able to understand the following: ...PAF Cinema, and many others in cantonment allow Indian Movies..
The pakistani armed forces are in movie making business now. how you think the pakistani army and air force were able to produce waar, the movie? By getting inspiration from the bollywood. LOL!
@@1984: FYI , 90% of Indians live in India not in Australia ... Btw, how will I know about the legal status of Australia when I'm working on a h1b visa in USA for the past 2 years And never set foot in Australia ..., Please use valid points in case of arguments .. Btw, are u my good friend "lala gee" in disguise
The reason we Indians check on ET has its roots in history. When the then Indian PM Nehru ask the then President of US 'how to make India a developed country, he answered' just keep an eye on the failed states and make sure you don't repeat their mistakes'. Case closed.LOL
pakistani madrasa education really affected paki general knowledge so badly @Someone: do some research on population growth rates of both countries. @Pakistani Citizen: Indians comments on many other news papers also. go and do some research
ET is for Economic Times, try it in Google.co.in or even Google.com
@Someone: In India the population coupled with disposal income in hand has become a source of strength for our economy as the same have been converted from liability and stomachs to feed into consumers thus attracting global companies. Gone are those days when population was discussed as a problem, now the chinese have also eased on one child policy. I dont blame you for being out dated. I blame the surrounding.
Of the 20 items listed above in the Trending searches and Trending people category of 2013. 8 pertains to India which is 40% of the total. I will refrain from categorizing it as obsession or otherwise but it clearly demonstrate Interest in Indian content. I am not announcing it as an Indian victory over pakistan or any of that sort. At the same time it is unfair to denounce the google disclosure as conspiracy or Indian content as cheap or any derogatory term specially after making indian searches throughout the year. Evidently people have opted to look for indian content although they may not be the same people who are commenting here. Also to suggest that India is obsessed with Pakistan is not true since not a single pakistani name featured in the 2013 categories of search, people, actors, politicians, sportsperson, phone and news event. Nor was anything chinese mentioned in it. And if you ask me why am i here then reading ET ? because its a nice website for news.
Actually ET for most Indians here in Australia means Employment & Training - they are mostly the FOTB lungi types - if you tell them ET means aliens I'm sure they'll slither away thinking you've caught on to there illegal alien status!

@Vikas: Pakistanis don’t have anything of their own to look on the internet. Poor and bankrupt guys
In India, population explosion due to lack of contraceptives has become a major issue. That's why a large section of the resulting population checks into Express Tribune of Pakistan regularly.
@ Pakistani
What are you talking about? You can look at the top searches from India at the Google website
India Searches :
IBPS Gate Exams Sunny Leone Ek Tha Tiger Rowdy Rathore Cbse Rajesh Khanna Aakash Tablet Hdfc JabongPeople like to find similarities and commonalities with India but we are forgetting - Hindu India and Muslim India are two different nations, we differ in our culture, heritage, and our way of living. Muslims if couldn't get freedom in 1947 they would have found another Master which would not be true to Muslims of the land. Muslims and Hindus are different and are different nations. People who preach homogeneity lacks understanding of underlying principles of codes of Muslim conduct. We seek peace with India but not at expense of our honor and not at expense attroticities India bring to Kashmiri Muslims. Pakistan standing on every issue of freedom before and today is just. India must give up on aggression on Muslims.
@Pakistani For 99% of Indians when they hear ET they think "ET Phone Home!!!!"

These are not even real searches just shortcut methods to jump to particular website. Lazy Indians! Ideally, Google should have removed such website specific keywords and let us know apart from these what indian were actually searching for.. i was expecting delhi gang rape, aam aadmi party, bigboss7 among top 10
thanks, arvind
@Mirza: Funny you should say that, considering how nearly all Bollywood soundtracks now a days have a contribution by Pakistani artists. If you check the reality, it's actually Indians dancing in Indian weddings to songs sung by Pakistani singers :)
For us Pakistanis, it doesn't matter who sings the song. We are an entertainment oriented people when it comes to weddings and anything that sounds nice to the ears is played. Believe it or not, but nowadays you will even see Chinese, English, Russian, Arab songs played at Pakistani weddings.
This is a conspiracy! We have nothing to do with these Dark Indians, We are Proud sons of Arabs! Gazwa-e-Hind is coming!
I would prefer if Pakistan was among the top search queries around the world, and for positive innovations in science, arts and entertainment along with tourism.
Both Indians and Pakistanis are nuts if they're in love with Bollywood... There's nothing left in there after most of the greats Dev Anand, Pran, Manna Dey, Naushad, Rajesh Khanna departed or are on the verge of departing (Dilip Kumar).
@Bharat: You indians still watch pakistani news site and literally comment on every article. Hint: ET
Except Aashiqui2 Pakistanis have very bad Taste...
One sided news, what are the top searches in India??
does it matter ??
Top commentators in ET are indians, common sense reveals
The Google story has only put a stamp on a reality which is well known to both sides. The civilian governments in Pakistan in recent times especially PMLN, made laudable efforts to maintain cordial relations with India which were duly reciprocated by New Delhi. However the biggest tragedy is that whenever both governments were moving forward to normalise relations and solving contentious issues, mischiefs were orchestrated either on LoC or in India which resulted in souring of relations and the good work done by both govts was brought to a nought. Nevertheless, the bigger loser was Pakistan who has been isolated internationally and now on the verge of an economic collapse and the same could have been averted if obstructions had not been placed.
Pakistanis don't have anything of their own to look on the internet. Poor and bankrupt guys
@Pakistani, don't lie, ET is nowhere in the list of India's top searches or trends
What about the porn search results? I thought Pakistan was top in animal porn searches.
Top news item on ET is indian content like this one, pakistan only news is dumped under sub section. Time to move domain to .in
caught red handed. Next time when a paki claims they dont care for Bollywood all we have to do is cite this news item. LOLzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Journalism at its best, this deserves to be on the front page while other news of Pakistan gets tossed in the corner, gossip loving ET
Somehow this deserves to be on the front page, while "foreign universities show interest in KP edu city" gets thrown in the corner
They will search it for free, but never purchase it. Indian content is not worth money.
In your dreams, grow up ET guys
More bad news from Pakistan.
I am not able to understand the following:
My comments:
@Pakistani: The people who come to ET do not google search for ET. Anyway here are some 25 odd Indians who visit ET regularly. That is surely not enough o put. ET as a top search item in India.
@nikki_2501@yahoo.com: Report talks about google searches, obviously only those who have Internet can do google search, what is not factual?
@Indian - seriously? Why pretend to be an Indian? Say what you want to anyway.
Arabs dont count paki, indian, bangla muslims in thier community , they dislike them all , and pakis always try to assume themselves as arab ,try to adapt their culture ,but all dat doesnt works !! so its the indian culture to which everybody is comfortable with and we all enjoy it !!
After Youtube Ban Google ++++++++++++++ Polluting impressionable Pakistani minds with Indian non sense. One day some Paksiatnis will demand a secular country !
I would like to thank Pakistanis for being interested in our films. I do remember a time 2O years back when many Indians would watch Pakistani plays on Cassette. It was a huge craze back then but slowly ended
A 'Defeated country Syndrome' !
at least we've moved away from the unmentionable stuff! IMO, into nothing better but we have moved. reason to celebrate, right?
Sports is top search but ET used bollywood content for pics. This shows how our media always feed nation with bollywood but twist it to show 'look we are not doing anything but nation is interested in Bollywood.'
These numbers do not give any meaningful stats. This year I searched a lot about DSLR which could easily fall in thousands but there could be hundreds of other individuals who searched about something else but count of their individual search terms could be less than mine. Now my search term DSLR would top the charts but it doesn't show that only one person was searching for this.
We hate India but we cannot have our weddings without Indian music and customs. We want to be Arabs but they reject us and we cannot adopt their way of life when it comes to culture and entertainment. Our relations with India are like between spouses living together for a long time and have argument in everything but cannot leave.
I want to make it once thing very clear. This is a conspiracy created by the enemies of Khalifa to destabalise this country. The Roohani ehsaas which we get from the afghan mujahideen songs cannot be get in this palleth bollywood songs. ( Dun forget to imagine my shoulder movement with the extended hand while reading this to get a rohaani ehsaas).
Report is not based on facts. How many people use internetnet in Pakistan? Only selective users.........
ET is on the top searches list for India, proved by the large indian population commenting here
@Sone: Why misleading? Anong the top 5 searches, 3 of them are of Indian content.
No.1 searched content in India is ET
Pls look at top searches in india, ET is on the top 10 list
What about WAAR & India's Mars Mission !!
What a misleading title!! Shame
And Zaid hamid says we are not obsessed with India.. lol....
