KARACHI:

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that tolerance involves recognising human rights (HR) and freedoms while respecting each other's perspectives.

In a message on 'International Day for Tolerance,' he said that tolerance is deeply ingrained in our culture, allowing people of all religions and diverse mindsets to live harmoniously in the land of Sindh.

The chief minister said that Islam has always advocated for tolerance and kindness, highlighting the importance of respecting every religion and ideology.

The CM explained that tolerance means practicing justice and fairness, even in the face of differences in religion, civilisation, culture, language, or race. "It is through tolerance that brotherhood among different communities is established," he added.

The chief minister also urged scholars and writers to contribute to the promotion of tolerance within society.

Meanwhile, the CM expressed his sorrow and grief over the death of ANP's senior politician Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour. He eulogised Bilour's contribution to Pakistan's financial sector, prayed for his soul, and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

The chief minister also condemned the 'heinous terrorist attack' on security forces in Kalat, Balochistan. "We stands shoulder to shoulder with our martyrs," he said, adding, "My heart goes out to the families of the martyrs and the injured."
