Disturbing lyrics from underground rapper Jaydes’ song ‘Junkie’ have resurfaced, drawing chilling parallels to his recent arrest for attempted homicide.

The 18-year-old artist, whose real name is Jayden Yen Dumont, remains in custody without bond after allegedly stabbing a teenage girl who rejected his advances. Fans have pointed to his music as a possible prelude to the violent attack, raising concerns about the connection between his art and actions.

In the controversial track, released in July, Jaydes raps, “Killed my girlfriend and it felt so good,” followed by the graphic line, “I opened up her body and I ate her guts.” These lyrics, which once seemed like mere shock value, are now being viewed in a darker light. “It’s terrifying to think he may have been serious,” commented a former fan on the song’s YouTube video, which has over 48,000 views.

According to a police affidavit, the alleged incident occurred on November 2 when Dumont invited the victim, reportedly his ex-girlfriend, to his apartment. After rejecting his advances, Dumont allegedly retrieved a box cutter and scissors, attacking her arm, back, and neck. The victim managed to fight back, escape to the bathroom, and call for help. Police found Dumont a week later at a Denny’s restaurant after a reported mental health episode.

The resurfaced lyrics have intensified scrutiny of Dumont’s music, with many interpreting the violent imagery as a potential warning. The victim’s current condition remains unknown, but authorities have issued a no-contact order to protect her. Dumont has also been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.

As the case unfolds, fans and critics alike are questioning whether Dumont’s art reflected a hidden intent. His recently released EP, ‘Panic’, has also come under renewed scrutiny. His next court hearing is pending.
