Nomination papers for by-elections in constituency PK-50, Haripur-II have to be submitted before December 17, while polls will be held on January 23 2014. The seat was left vacant after Abbottabad Election Tribunal disqualified MPA Yousaf Ayub for having a fake degree. A press release issued from the office of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Election Commissioner Sono Khan Baloch stated the election commission will scrutinise documents from December 19 to 24, after which appeals can be submitted till December 26. The document said the final decision on appeals will be taken on January 1 2014. The final candidate list will be displayed on January 4.
