The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday disposed of a notice regarding an acid attack when a police report of the case was submitted before the anti-terrorism court in Faisalabad.


The complaints cell had taken notice on a press report one of the women in an exchanged marriage had left home to live with her parents.

Her husband threw acid at her face when she refused to return to him. She was badly burnt.

She was taken to Allied Hospital for treatment.

The complaints cell had directed the Chiniot district and sessions judge to probe the incident and submit a detailed report about the steps taken by the police.The judge reported that Langrana police had registered a case against the husband and arrested him and a complete police report against him had been submitted in the Faisalabad anti-terrorism case. Upon receiving the information, the LHC Complaint Cell disposed of the case.
