Local government: ‘Nepotism will not be tolerated’
PTI's Jahangir Khan Tareen urged the participating office bearers to raise funds for campaigns of party candidates.
LAHORE:
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) central general secretary Jahangir Khan Tareen said on Wednesday that his party would award tickets for local government elections on merit.
He was addressing a party event organised by Noor Khan Bhaba.
He urged the participating office bearers to raise funds for campaigns of party candidates.
“Nepotism will not be tolerated,” he said.
Tareen said May 11 general elections were rigged. He said recount of votes in various constituencies using fingerprints would expose the extent of rigging.
